Because it is distance learning you can set your pace. For this course it would be possible to complete in 3-4 months if you can devote the time required to studying.

In order to obtain public liability insurance it is likely that you will in addition need to complete a period of experience undertaken under supervision. We always advise students to check requirements with an insurance broker to check personal requirements.

Do we get any physical learning, such as training to actually carry out a cut on a dog and get examined on that

The course is base on theoretical study form texts and publication, and assessed through essay style tutor marked assignments. Because it is distance learning it is not possible to conduct practical assessments. Howevere the course does require students to gain practical experience through established dog grooming facilities.

There is no single apporved qualification required to practice dog grooming, but this course along with the certification, demonstrates achievment of a body of knowledge and series of skills which show you have attained a level of proficiency in dog grooming skills.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
